‘Fake promises’ of Congress lead to political crisis in HP : Anurag Thakur

New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) As the political crisis deepened in Himachal Pradesh, Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Wednesday slammed the Congress party for not “fulfilling promises” by the state government made during the election. “Congress formed the government in Himachal Pradesh by giving big and fake promises. After the formation of the government, none of those promises were fulfilled”, Thakur said. His remarks came as 15 BJP MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, were suspended from the Assembly earlier in the day, following their demand for a floor test after the ruling Congress lost the lone Rajya Sabha seat in the hill state. The Union Minister alleged , “People used to ask questions when Congress MLAs went to their constituencies, they had no answers to give, no work was done” . He further added , “Congress’ own MLAs were facing a lot of difficulties..why did Congress MLAs abandon their own party within 14 months, what was the compulsion?’. While asked whether the BJP will bring a no-confidence motion in the Assembly, Thakur said “Let’s wait for the day, you will get all the answers”. UNI JA CS1449
